One of our clients, a major manufacturer and supplier of chemical, gas and fertiliser businesses that service a range of sectors in both domestic and international markets, is seeking the services of an experienced Project Manager based at their Perth plant (SOR) for a period 6 months with possible extension on a Monday - Friday (38 hour week) roster.

An opportunity exists for a Project Manager with 5 to 10 years experience to assist the commercial and engineering teams progress the FEED (front end engineering design) for their ammonia plant expansion project, starting in May. Specifically the Project Manager will maintain the project schedule, monitor risks and issues, track and forecast study costs, and the progress of the overall project.

Successful candidates will have the following work experience:

  • Tertiary Qualification | experience in a similar role
  • Qualification in a recognised program/project management methodology (PMP, Prince2, MSP).
  • 5-10 years experience in project management.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships.
  • Exposure to an engineering/heavy industry environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning and decision making skills.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug Screen and provide a current WA Drivers Licence and Australian working rights.
