Our client is seeking to engage a Project Manager on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

Position Overview

The Enterprise Delivery team sits within the Chief Operating Office and is charged with the transformation of the business and the end-to-end delivery of programs and projects. The Enterprise Delivery team works closely across the whole business to bring together the capabilities needed to deliver change that matters to our customers and to our people.

From a project perspective, this role will support the delivery of the Bedrock 2 Program within the Fund Services team. Fund Services is responsible for maintaining, reconciling and valuing the investment assets within the products and ensuring the accounting and tax view of all funds is correct. The Bedrock 2 program is tasked with uplifting the functional capability of a vendor hosted application to enable the transition of processes from legacy systems to the uplifted vendor suite. This will enable the realization of business efficiencies and decommissioning of legacy applications.

  • You are responsible for the end-to-end execution of the business components of the Bedrock 2 Program. Working closely with the vendor, Technology PM and Program Manager, you will lead Phase 2 of the program.
  • You use your strong business and commercial acumen to translate business strategy into implementable projects that deliver value.
  • You will be required to effectively develop and manage relationships with internal SME's, external delivery partners and Senior Executives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The processes in scope come with an inherent level of risk, so a close connection with the business will be integral to appreciating the complexity and successfully managing the risks during the transition. An understanding or experience in unit pricing/ wealth management/ custody would be beneficial
  • You will be supported by a Technology PM who will manage the internal technical elements of the project (eg. integration, archiving and decommissioning activities) and a Change Manager who will run the change management activities- all reporting to the Program Manager - Fund Services.
  • You will manage vendors and partnering. You effectively manage relationships across our business and will lead business change.
  • You work with cross-functional teams and facilitate planning of work and optimise the delivery of outcomes. You operate in a way that supports business agility and can adapt quickly to market changes and customer needs.
  • You have some experience in vendor sourcing and management ensuring vendors deliver upon agreed commitments where required.
  • You are passionate about eliminating waste and continuous improvements without compromising on quality. You will take into consideration the impact your projects have once the work has finished; delivered risks, on-going operational costs, manual processes and technical debt are considered and minimized or eliminated.
  • You act as a servant leader to the delivery teams, supporting them by removing blockers, identifying options / choices and setting the example for how to get things done.
  • You ensure appropriate and lean governance is in place to manage risks, issues, financials, benefits and dependencies.
  • You share your experience with others, this could be in the form of peer reviews, showcasing learnings or influencing for better outcomes
  • You effectively influence and drive outcomes with team members and broader staff who are not direct reports

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Sound in Project Management
  • Sound in Vendor negotiation / Management
  • Experience in the Wealth Management or Financial Services industry desirable
  • 2-5 years' experience in business and project management with a proven track record of successful project outcomes and an array of project-type experience.
  • Exposure to working in large and complex environments, including IT business dependencies
  • Experience in leading and managing a medium sized number of project and change management resources
  • Experience in interacting with executive & senior management
  • Proven track record managing projects and experiences in dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders
