A leading provider to the mining and infrastructure industry requires an experienced Project Manager to support their Asset Management functions. The Project Management Office (PMO) mandate includes the management and delivery of the manufacturing project portfolio.

Day to day functions will include management of projects, close liaison with Asset Owner and representatives, resource control, scheduling, cost management, compliance with mandates/standards, safety, quality control, reporting and contract administration.

Role Requirements:

The role uses knowledge, experience, and leadership effectively to align the major project approach with the organisation's strategy, achieve project delivery outcomes, enhance collaboration with stakeholders, and manage the project lifecycle. The specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of assigned projects.
  • Monitor, document and report to key stakeholders on the progress and performance of the assigned projects.
  • Strong execution focus. Proven ability to work autonomously and lead cross-functional and multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for the Asset Owner and stakeholder interface for all assigned projects, developing strong relationships and managing expectations.
  • Commercial acumen in the development of cost effective and robust project delivery and engineering solutions to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Management of supplier/contractual relationships.

In order to be considered, you must have:

  • 5 + years experience in Project Management
  • Experience managing complex projects, CAPEX and FMCG
  • Background in Mechatronics and Controls Engineering

This position is based in Helidon for an 18 month contract.
