Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Project Officer on a contract for 12 Months, with potential extension.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides input to transformation and change and will deliver specific project requirements as requested by the Program Management Office in accordance with the Project Management and Change Management methodology (both agile and waterfall methodologies) to ensure the success of initiatives.
  • Administer and coordinate briefing, reporting and engagement of project products.
  • Escalate issues and risks against the project schedule as appropriate.
  • Support the delivery of training requirements for all transformation and clinical projects.
  • Acts as a point of coordination for project management activities to enable achievement of specified project delivery to ensure project activities are on track and anticipates associated requirements to achieve branch and transformation deliverables.
  • Coordinate, maintain records and develop reports for projects and initiatives, maintaining a focus on quality and national consistency, supporting implementation at a regional level to ensure best practice outcomes.
  • Coordinates stakeholder involvement in project delivery activities maintaining productive partnership and working relationships.
  • Assists in identifying the needs, expectations and requirements of stakeholder groups in conjunction with business owners, subject matter experts and project managers.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Experience in project delivery, project management office support and training support in a complex fast moving environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver project documentation across technology, people, clinical and process transformation projects.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within an outcome-focused and team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior management and staff of all levels.
