Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Project Manager on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.
About the Role:
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Mange project governance and reporting, and operate under a blended Agile approach;
- Work with DTB's CTO, the Modern Workplace Program Manager and technical leads to define and manage the delivery of outcomes;
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting on project progress as well as escalating risks and issues where required to ensure full transparency;
- Responsible for project scheduling and budget maintenance;
- Proactively lead engagements including workshops with stakeholders to review, refine and prioritise artefacts such as, epics, features user stories;
- Regular reporting and presentations to the Executive Leadership team:
- Mature and ensure effective change control practices are adhered to;
- Liaise with and maintain key stakeholder relationships, including policy, project or operational issues and action items and responding to stakeholder needs and managing expectations;
- Clearly communicate decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
- Support contract managers in establishing the new services arrangements;
- Produce technical and non-technical documentation as required;
- Manage project resources effectively to deliver the required outcomes.
Key Personnel Expertise
- Demonstrated experience in agile project management, refining requirements to ensure the relevant product and services are delivered within agreed time, cost and quality expectations;
- Exceptional experience in planning, managing, and executing ICT projects, including advanced knowledge of software development lifecycles within a federal government context;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and translate business requirements to technology solutions;
- Exceptional experience in building mature self-organising teams, and working in a complex and dynamic environment that is focused on quality outcomes and service delivery;
- Demonstrated knowledge of IT frameworks, such as ITIL, Agile ways of working and DevOps.
