Our client is seeking to engage a Project manager on a contract for 8 Weeks.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of digital and face to face learning initiatives of Cabin Crew (International & Domestic) Programs to the agreed objectives, within budget, and on time. They will ensure that progress against planned timelines is reported accurately and that key risks and issues are fully understood and addressed. Over the next 12 months there is a requirement to delivery face to face training to ~4000 Cabin Crew across the Group. In addition to this there is a requirement to roll out and track digital campaigns. The role will lead regular and on-going project management meetings and engage relevant stakeholders, as well as providing advice, guidance and expertise in applying the appropriate project management methodologies to deliver large scale learning and development initiatives. The role will engage with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to influence and drive outcomes within a very tight timeframe of this operational critical project, ensuring all critical path milestones and risks are identified and actioned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the detailed project plan, with multi-disciplinary view to manage and achieve project outcomes, on time and within budget.
  • Manage the delivery of digital and instructor-led learning initiatives of the Cabin Crew Programs ensuring it is appropriately supported and resourced to deliver the objectives
  • Project managing any facilitation and logistics activities and ensure implementation and appropriate change management processes are followed.
  • Drive appropriate governance and project management techniques are in place.
  • Manage project benefits realisation and tracking (including project reviews)
  • Manage key tasks within set timeframes and assess key issues and risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Drive the completion of project plans and monitor the progress of the project.
  • Develop execution and communication strategies as required.
  • Deliver reporting, control and governance requirements.
  • Work with the business to ensure the development and execution of integrated business change management plans - including ensuring change management and change readiness assessments for project deliverables have been undertaken.
  • Resolve conflicting priorities between projects through escalation to Manager Group L&D Operations or Senior Manager Group L&D.

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • 5 Years' experience in Project Management
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business or related field (highly desirable)
  • Formal project management qualifications (highly desirable)
  • Previous experience within a learning and development role, preferably within a complex organisation (highly desirable)
  • A proven ability to understand complex technical requirements to be met in a project environment
  • A proven ability in translating strategies into detailed plans
  • The ability to identify and measure business performance improvement opportunities through robust and logical problem solving, strategic, analytical and financial evaluation skills
  • Strong influencing & relationship management skills
  • The ability to deal with ambiguity & remain focussed whilst drawing suitable conclusions
