About the Role
Reporting to the Lead Project Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering
high priority capital projects for the Rail portfolio.
Responsibilities will include:
· Demonstrate an overriding commitment to the company's Charter values.
· Undertake quality field leadership activities.
· The development and execution of multiple projects to a defined scope, budget and
schedule, with compliance to standards and specifications, and in accordance with Company
Small Project Management Framework.
· Engage and manage contractors consistent with the Contractor Management
Framework.
· Manage the project technical requirements in accordance with the Rail Systems Engineering
Framework.
· Providing input into the portfolio budgets, plans and schedules and where required,
supporting feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, impact assessments and project business
cases to obtain project approvals.
· Producing the specified key deliverables within projects in a timely manner and to an
appropriate quality.
Important competencies:
· A Tertiary qualification in Project Management or Engineering is desirable.
· Previous project management experience 5+ years
· Previous project management experience in Mining is desirable.
· The ability to work autonomously with distinctive proficiency in executing Engineering
Modifications & Small Projects.
· Strong commercial and contractor management skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage a variety of
stakeholders effectively.
· Demonstrated high-level negotiation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with
internal and external departments and contractors.
· Strong attention to detail.
The Role will be FIFO 5/2/4/3 to Port Hedland or residential 5/2. Seeking immediate start.
