Chandler Macleod is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading Federal Government agency. This is an immediate start with a contract term of 12 months. The office is based in Surry Hills, however you will be remotely working until restrictions ease.


The Project Manager will work within the Executive Office team to manage a range of business projects and assist with Group planning.

Projects include releases of public data and reports, in-person and/or online forums, and other cross-Agency strategic projects. Group planning activities include maintaining and improving the internal management reporting of work schedules and resource requirements, and supporting managers with future activity and resource planning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting on Scheme Actuary programs of work.
  • Build and manage collaborative relationships with Group managers and staff, other work groups, and external stakeholders to support projects and business planning.
  • Work within an agreed Agency project management and change management framework
  • Develop and maintain project artefacts including project plans, resourcing, schedules and performance reports to ensure the integrity of projects.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy to meet tight and often conflicting timeframes.
  • Develop and support a culture of innovative solutions and business improvement across the Group.

    About You
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar capacity.
  • Government experience will be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to support and guide teams drawn from diverse backgrounds in a collaborative and transparent manner.

Please note that to be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen and if successful will need to undergo x2 reference checks and a National Police Clearance. You will also need to hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People / Children check that is valid for paid work.
