Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Project Manager on a contract for 6 months with potential extension of 5 Months.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, engaging with key stakeholders and staff to build commitment to project goals and purpose
  • Ensure project deliverables are aligned to program outcomes and the Taskforce Integrity budget measure objectives
  • Develop and manage project benefits realisation plans that clearly articulate project outputs, change activities and measurable benefits
  • Identify project risk and issues and provide strategic advice on effective mitigation and resolution strategies
  • Maintain project risk and issue registers and manage risk mitigation activities through identification, assessment and coordination of response / treatment actions
  • Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement and communication strategies
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare high quality project management documentation, executive briefs and presentations
  • Provide specialist advice on best practice project management

Skills & Experience:

  • Research and make decisions based on professional judgement, expertise and knowledge in the context of the environment
  • Work in a team, build, encourage and demonstrate team-based leadership to drive change and deliver strategic outcomes
  • Communicate effectively, develop and support stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Demonstrate personal resilience and manage challenging situations
  • Plan, organise and prioritise work in the context of competing priorities
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in journalism, communication, marketing or related fields, or be able to demonstrate recognised skills or relevant experience

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Formal qualifications in Project Management
  • Experience in implementing budget measures (desirable)
  • Baseline Clearance
