Project Manager - Electrical

About the role

As part of the Capital Projects team at AGL Loy Yang, the Project Manager is responsible for the scoping, planning, scheduling and delivery of project work in accordance with the assigned annual works portfolio. In close collaboration with the Engineering, Operations and Maintenance teams your project management expertise will be critical in meeting our operational and financial objectives and targets, and to manage a series of projects.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Apply the Project Management Framework to all aspects of assigned projects

Be accountable for all project outcomes

Support Outages as required when assigned projects are delivered within an outage period

Managing and overseeing all aspects of project execution, including:

Preparing project plans;

Ensuring project remains within scope and actively managing all changes;

Managing contracts;

Identifying, scheduling and coordinating resources;

Ensure appropriate control systems are in place;

Developing and managing cost and financial forecasts;

Ensure contractors comply with AGL's policy framework and Health Safety and Environment (HS&E) reporting and standard.

Manage contractors working on capital projects in the best interests of AGL.

Ensure contracted project deliverables, KPI's and other requirements are met.

Project managers are expected to maintain quality baseline budget, cost information and forecasts in the site financial management systems.

To ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment systems and goals are adhered to while meeting the organisations policies and standards for HSE Management at all times.

About You

To be successful you will have:

A Diploma or other Certification in Project Management

A strong Electrical background, preferably with power station experience

Experience of project management and supervision of construction/refurbishment projects, including refurbishments, new build, upgrades and fit out projects.

Understanding of financial and risk management principles and monitors appropriate solutions.

Contractor management of minor or major works.

The ability to provide concise, timely and accurate project status reporting.

Experience of delivering exceptional customer experiences and well-developed communication skills.

Ability to participate in and/or leads successful projects, using strong communication and organisational skills to balance conflicting priorities and manage resources.

Excellent planning and co-ordination skills
