We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager for our client, a NSW Government agency based in Sydney CBD on a contract through until 30/06/2021 with possibility of extension due to volume of work. Hourly rate is $80-99ph + super, 40 hours per week.

Please note this is a construction related Project Manager role and travel will be required between Sydney CBD, Campbelltown and the Blue Mountains to oversee the projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management of 41 minor works projects with a program budget of $5.1m, potentially rising to $10m.
  • Projects can be a mixture of electrical upgrades, safety upgrades, HVAC, heritage repairs, environmental works, roadworks and recreation areas
  • Managing projects from feasibility, planning, design and delivery in alignment with the Strategic Plan to ensure that projects meet milestones within timeframes and budget
  • Lead procurement processes and manage contracts in accordance with the NSW Procurement System (MW21 and GC21)
  • Design and develop methods, tactics and plans in consultation with key internal stakeholders to ensure that project outcomes are seamlessly transferred into the operational environment
  • Provide advice, recommendations and reports to the Director Assets Management, Planning and Projects on program issues and individual project progress

What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction and/or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years proven project management experience in delivering minor works and/or capital works projects
  • Previous experience of NSW Government procurement policies and MW21 and GC21 contracts
  • Strong reporting and financial acumen and experience of SAP
  • NSW Government experience would be highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience
  • Full NSW Drivers licence and the ability to travel between sites at Sydney CBD, Campbelltown and the Blue Mountains to oversee the projects - Fleet Cars are provided
