Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Project Manager on a contract until June 2021.

Position Overview

Our Client is looking for a Project Manager for planning, development and execution of project deliverables as well as strategic engagement with key stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Procurement activities (going out to tender) and contract management
  • Establishment and management of a Steering Committee to guide the development of the Registry
  • Engagement with relevant portfolios/agencies across jurisdictions to seek ongoing support and collaboration and reach agreement on various aspects on the Registry.
    • These include the purpose, scope, data sources, data sharing/collection, legislation to underpin it, infrastructure, linkages/alignments with jurisdictional registers, who to host and administer it and ongoing funding.
  • Oversight of IT development and other required processes
  • Engagement with the National Dust Disease Taskforce, its Secretariat, the Executive and other internal and external stakeholders

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience with successful planning and delivery of major projects for large organisations in a project management role.
  • The ability to deal with significant and contentious issues, negotiate and liaise with stakeholders and an understanding of Health Business context, priorities, drivers and desired outcomes.
  • Highly developed analytical, problem solving and oral and written communication abilities
