Chandler Macleod has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer/Coordinator to join our clients Sustaining Capital Projects team at their gold mine based in the NT. This role will suit a candidate with a strong background working within owners teams working on brownfields projects. This great is available for an immediate start working a FIFO 8/6 roster from Darwin, Perth or Brisbane, initially on a 12 month labour hire contract.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Managing all project engineering tasks on site
  • Mentoring and guiding junior project engineers
  • Managing procurement packages over multiple suppliers
  • Coordinating brownfield' construction activities
  • Managing Technical Queries
  • Liaising with relevant internal stakeholders and contractors
  • Raising requisitions and pursuing purchase orders as required
  • Quality inspections and assisting quality department
  • All other general Project Engineer activities


Qualifications and skills required:

  • Tertiary qualification in a engineering or extensive project management related discipline.
  • Significant experience in diverse technical, supervisory and management roles in the mining industry.
  • A proven track record in project execution, including experience with brownfields projects and demonstrated commitment to successful implementation of projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with self-perform, EPCM, EPC project execution teams.
  • Experience in operation of gold processing plants and open Pit / underground operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate the assimilation of project and operation's business plans, to achieve the project objectives.
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral skills with the ability to present findings to senior management.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proof of current Covid-19 vaccination is required as per the NT Government direction.
