About the role
We are partnering one of Australia's leading resources companies, is seeking to engage an (Electrical) Project Engineer to oversee various Non-Process Infrastructure projects in the WA Pilbara. Reporting to the Lead Project Engineers the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects, typically 4-5 projects at various stages and each valued <AUD$10M. Projects will be from their diverse portfolio of NPI (Non-Process Infrastructure) water, camps, aviation, housing and maintenance projects. You will develop, plan, schedule, manage and execute capital projects for all departments within the business, contributing to the execution of projects to meet KPIs and objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following work experience:

  • A Tertiary qualification in Project Management and/or Engineering are highly desirable - Electrical preferred
  • The ability to work autonomously with distinctive proficiency in executing Engineering Modifications & Small Projects in accordance with small project management framework and best practices.
  • Experience in an operational mining environment, previous experience with either Water Projects or High Voltage Infrastructure will be highly desirable.
  • Strong operational and process discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage a variety of stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated high-level negotiation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external

Ideal candidates must also hold the following prerequisites:

  • Relevant experience in similar roles as Project Engineer managing a portfolio of small projects (< AUD$10m), whole of project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated skills and effectiveness in leadership, project management, communication, stakeholder engagement/relations.
  • Strong ability to learn and adapt quickly to new processes and systems.
  • Positive "can do" attitude who embraces changes and challenges.
  • Alignment with company Charter Values (sustainability, respect, simplicity, accountability, responsibility, integrity).
  • Provision of a current Drivers License and Australian working rights
