Chandler Macleod has and exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Dewatering Project Engineer within our clients Operational Projects team. This role is available on a 6-month labour hire (casual) contract working an 8/6 FIFO roster and at times some ad-hoc nightshift work may be required. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Project Engineer takes a lead role in ensuring that projects are delivered in the safest manner and that the quality management of each project is maintained to the highest standard.
Requirements of the role:
- Exemplary behaviour with regards to safety leadership
- Demonstrated commitment to company values
- Managing the Work Pack for each project including updates
- Liaising with Site and Perth based Stakeholders on all relevant project matters
- Attending all Progress Meetings for each project they are assigned
- Develop/Draft/Review/Authorise Commissioning Plans for projects as applicable
- Participation in Critical Control Monitoring, Plan Task Observation, and Team Based Risk
- Assessments for all projects
- Conducting Field Leaderships
- Boundary lock management for all projects
- At least one safety initiative per quarter
- Technical Query (TQ) management across all projects facilitate review and solutions
- Non- Conformance Management (NCR) facilitate review and solutions
- Project Close out (MDR)- review contractors MDR
- Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) management and authorizing /approval
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant engineering qualification
- 3+ years as a project engineer working on major operational projects
- Sound knowledge of mining dewatering principles
You will proactively demonstrate your commitment to safety by using your experience and judgement to ensure you, and your crew, operate in a safe working manner at all times. Your ability to set good examples of work ethic and integrity, together with your positive mindset in dealing with work and people, will be highly regarded.
