Chandler Macleod are very proud to be supporting Fortescue Metals Group with sourcing highly skilled forward thinking Civil or Mechanical Project Engineer join the Asset Management & Reliability Study Team in Perth. In this role you will apply guidance and knowledge to long term Mining, Infrastructure and Alternative Energy studies. This role demands a strong focus on teamwork.

This is a Perth based role reporting to the Engineering Study Manager and key accountabilities include:

  • Demonstrate strong safety values and a willingness to be active in enhancing our team's safety culture
  • Assist with the development and delivery of studies
  • Develop technical study reports across a range of studies, not limited to area of expertise
  • Develop cost estimates and schedules for studies
  • Liaison with relevant departments to understand user requirements, and ensure positive stakeholder engagement

This assignment will cover a period of 6 months, on a Monday - Friday roster, 45 hours per week, based in the Perth CBD.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following work experience:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Civil, Mechanical or Project Engineering
  • Experience in Mining and Fixed Plant Ore Processing
  • Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and continual improvement focus
  • Knowledge of relevant Mines legislations and regulations
  • Planning, organisational, scheduling and coordination skills
  • Demonstrated track record of problem solving and solution implementation in a multi-discipline team based environment
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
