Our client, one of Australia's leading resources companies, is seeking to engage a Perth-based Project Engineer, with occasional travel to site for meetings and execution. Reporting to the Project Manager, the focus of this role will be to support the delivery of dewatering projects maintaining high standards on safety, quality and cost.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Scoping, Budgeting, Business case definition and liaising with key stakeholder
  • Managing contractor, scheduling, contract negotiation and construction experience
  • Participating in contractor construction meeting and weekly reporting
  • Participating in design review providing timeline and advises
  • Review and approving work packs deliverable along with managing materials procurement with procurement team
  • Coordinate and maintain focus on contractor deliverables
  • Review cost status, forecast and variations - providing fortnightly report on status

Skills & Qualifications?

  • Degree qualifications in Engineering; preferably Mechanical | Civil Engineering or similar discipline
  • Minimum 5 years working in Processing, Mining operations or similar in a Project Engineering capacity
  • Prior involvement in dewatering projects with a scope including: Abstraction bores, piping, Ponds, TN and Injection bores
  • Ability to lead and influence behaviours throughout all levels of the Project; including the management of Contractors
  • Ability to problem solve and assist with making practical decisions in a high stress environment
  • Ability to manage your time well, prioritize works and structure work efficiently and effectively
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
