Chandler Macleod are partnering with a renowned organisation, of whom specialises in Iron Ore within the Mining Industry, to secure the services of an experienced professional to perform the role of Project Coordinator - Cost. This assignment offers a Monday - Friday roster and is open to Residential and FIFO applicants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support monthly accruals for Projects team within tight turnaround times at month end and post accruals, analysing monthly performance of actuals v forecast.
  • Reviews and verifies labour timesheet claims prior to invoice approval.
  • Support to Supt with the Capital reports on project Portfolio
  • Support project managers and engineers with Monthly Project Reviews and End of Month reporting process.
  • Collaboration with Project Managers and Project Engineers to support on‐budget and on schedule delivery of projects
  • Provides transparency of delivery and performance through defined reporting
  • Utilises the cost engineering standards and practices in the provision of project services for a project\program of projects.
  • Reviews individual project costs for comparison against project budget and monthly forecast
  • Reviews individual project costs for comparison against the 2YB/5YP project budget and forecast
  • Review project status reports for variations against key performance targets of time and within budget, working with Senior Project Engineers to identify mitigations, and providing governance guidance and support when required
  • Effectively manage all interfaces with the Portfolio lead and project engineers, sponsors and stakeholders
  • Conduct project close out activities, including Financial Close out Request (FCOR)

    Ideal candidates must also have the following experience:
  • Experience in management or cost accounting, cost control and financial reporting preferred
  • Financial analytical and modelling skills preferred
  • Knowledge of Finance Modules in 1SAP preferred
  • Experience in Project roles preferred
  • Experience in project delivery and project governance preferred.
