We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator for a temporary position for a company located in Perths CBD.

  • Super on all hours
  • Based in Perth's CBD
  • Temporary 2 month position (potential to be extended)
  • 2 - 3 days per week (7.5 hour days)
  • Part Time

    Key Accountabilities:

    ▪ Provide subject matter expertise to team members and internal business partners to ensure the quality of environment and land access approvals and impact assessments are consistent with customer expectations.
    ▪ Proactively identify opportunities for improvement to minimise safety, environment and land access risk/ loss.
    ▪ Support customers to ensure the successful implementation of safety, environment and land access approvals and agreements.
    ▪ Influence improvements to delivery of approvals conditions by Western Power's workforce and contractors
    ▪ Ensure proactive management and collaboration with stakeholders to facilitate cost effective outcomes and ensure assessment, approval, land access and environmental services meet or exceed customer expectations
    ▪ Monitor issues and risks across all project activities, which include proactively involving and engaging the sponsor, project manager and project team to provide early advice on risks, in order to assist others in optimising network investment decisions and keep project risks to a level as low as reasonably practical.
    ▪ Contribute to the delivery of asset placement options reports outlining opportunities, constraints and likely approval requirements in relation to land access and environmental considerations providing technical and land access advice.
    ▪ Prepare environmental impact assessments, approvals, and operational guidelines, and liaise across functions to implement sound land access and environmental solutions.

  • Sound experience working in infrastructure, construction or other technically based industries with complex environmental, approval and community issues.
  • Experience using GIS systems to develop appropriate mapping resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver mandated approvals for community based projects.
  • Familiarity with the legislation that governs the companies access to land.
  • Knowledge of statutory approvals planning policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with State and Federal environmental legislation.
  • Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Familiarity with the legislation that governs the compnies access to land and the process of securing easements.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects on time, within budget and to a high quality.
  • Experience speaking in public forums where stakeholders have opposing interests.
