Position title: Manager - Project Controls - Government - Infrastructure
Contract Estimation Duration: 6 Months Fixed-term Contract
Company Type / Size: Government / Tier 1
Location: Sydney CBD / WFH
Salary / Rate: $945.00 - $1055.00 per DAY ex GST + super
Purpose of this position:
The primary purpose of this role is to manage and provide oversight of project controls and reporting systems, including financial, scheduling, quality assurance systems and document management systems required for the efficient and effective monitoring and management of the project.
General Requirements:

  • Lead the implementation and application of endorsed standards and practices to plan, monitor, and control project scope, costs, schedule and risks for the project
  • Provide the project management team with integrated, accurate, and timely whole-of-project advice, information, capability and reports which drive achievement of project objectives
  • Prepare and develop project strategies and set the standards for consistent processes and procedures for relating to estimating, cost, schedule and risk management and reporting against predefined scope deliverables for the project
  • Analyse and improve systems, processes and procedures to improve management, operations and deliverables including the development of frameworks, standards, policies and systems that reflect industry best practice and ensure compliance with NSW Government policies
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a project quality management system which will include a system of regular compliance audits and ensure that the audit program is implemented appropriately and that non-conformances are addressed in a timely manner
  • Foster close collaboration and engagement with stakeholders and staff to develop progress KPIs that are tracked and monitored, as well as prepare regular reports detailing project progress against plan, highlighting critical issues and monthly forecasts for project costs to complete against budgets and committed costs and cross-checking and validating data for anomalies, irregularities or inconsistencies
  • Implement and maintain an efficient and effective document management system, ensuring compliance across the project team
  • Contribute to business plans, budgets and risk management plans, consistent with project and corporate plans, control costs, review and improve business systems and processes, and report as required on activities, performance, trends and issues

    Education:
    Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
