Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Program Support Officer on a contract for 12 months with potential extension of 12 Months.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Deputy Director with Product Management, including resource management, agendas, budget management, monthly reporting tasks, stakeholder engagement and assisting with the preparation of senior Branch staff for twice yearly Sustainment Reviews.
  • Assisting to manage budgets for Joint Project (JP)9347, including acquisition and sustainment funding lines. This includes producing monthly reports, drafting financial documentation, tracking forecasting and working with other Team Leads to update forecasting requirements within the portfolio.
  • Other ad hoc Capability Management-related duties as requested.


  • Assist with Product Management tasks.
  • Produce agendas and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare briefings for half-yearly finance reviews.
  • Budget management.
  • Assist with the preparation of key project artefacts for submission to Government.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as directed by Team Leads


  • Experience working in Defence Capability Projects
  • A thorough understanding of Defence Capability Management/Capability Life Cycle
  • Qualifications in Procurement and Finance
  • Qualifications in Business Management
  • Qualifications in Project Support and Management

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a NV1 security clearance.
  • Ability to start at the end of June 2021
