Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5-6 Program Officer on a contract for 9 months with potential extension of 12 months.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Program Officers would be required to undertake a range of program management activities, which may include:

  • implementing large scale programs working closely with IT
  • contributing to program development and implementation
  • preparing reports addressing risks, interdependencies and program outcomes to senior management, executives, and stakeholders
  • provide advice and technical expertise to guide program activities
  • administrative and secretariat work including coordinating meetings with stakeholders, researching and coordination tasks as required to support the team
  • liaising with internal stakeholders and reporting on program progress
  • drafting written material and briefings for the executive and Minister's office.

Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities/experience and/or qualifications:

  • high levels of interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) to ensure deliverables contribute to achieving a large-scale reform
  • strategic thinking and conceptual skills
  • planning and organisational skills
  • agility and resilience to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to ability to obtain and/or maintain clearance at Baseline level.
