Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Program Coordinator on a until December 2020, with potential extensions of 18 months.

Position Overview

The Program Coordinator for the Program Delivery section reports directly to the Program Manager and works with senior executives and managers to create relevant briefings, papers and reports to successfully support the efficient execution of the Program. The position will be responsible for sourcing relevant information largely autonomously and liaising with other key roles such as the Info-designer in order to present information clearly.

The Program Coordinator will also be required to manage governance pieces as they relate to the Program Manager. It is a fast-paced environment and the expectation is that the Program Coordinator will be able to complete initial drafts in short timeframes with limited information as well as support preparation and completion of larger more strategic long-term products ballot papers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Research and prepare strategic advice, information and reports on diverse and complex strategic and operational matters to facilitate informed decision making and planning
  • Provide oversight to the Portfolio Director on the status of Program and Projects timelines and risk and issue management
  • Support the operation of governance forums, tracking actions arising as required
  • Support the overall Portfolio administrative practises, designing and guiding requirements where needed working closely with the Program Support Officers to deliver comprehensive support to the executive levels
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met
  • Provide proactive, efficient, accurate and confidential executive support
  • Complete briefing packs as required for executive level meetings
  • Contribute to projects to support the achievement of the Programs strategic and operational objectives
  • Develop and actively manage key internal and external relationships, including collaborating with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation. In addition to representing and explaining agency views in various forums.
  • Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time.

Mandatory Requirements:
