  • One of our clients, a well-known entity in the WA Mining Industry, is seeking the services of an Experienced Production Technician to join the Chandler Macleod Team on their Port Site.

    Responsibilities include:

    As the successful applicant you will possesses the following:

    • Actively manage and operate fixed plant processing equipment, such as car dumpers, ship loaders, reclaimers, stackers, sample stations, transfer stations and conveyors
    • Conduct routine plant inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation of our assets
    • Ability to work autonomously in the plant, liaising with maintenance teams and plant control to optimise operations where possible
    • Passion for identifying and highlighting improvements, and contribute to delay minimisation projects.
    • Ability to Identify, report and rectify hazards with every task you undertake
    • Commitment to building healthy relationships to support safe production, and contribute to a positive team working environment
    • Participate in field leadership & safety activities regularly
    • Willing to work in a fast moving team, and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds

    Skills and Experience.

    To be considered for this role, you will have:

    • Proven track record of safe work practices in a high risk working environment
    • An Australian C Class manual Driver's licence
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a fixed plant processing role operating various pieces of equipment, with proven experience responding to faults and other plant operational issues.
    • Experience with Mooring activities will be advantageous
    • Ability to obtain WA maritime security clearance (MSIC)
    • Demonstrated experience working in a fast moving team environment, strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
    • Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
    • A demonstrated, proactive approach towards ensuring the safety of yourself and others is a mandatory requirement for any role with Chandler Macleod. Your ability to set good examples of work ethic and integrity, especially when working alongside others, will be highly regarded.
