About the organisation:
Chandler Macleod is proud to partner with a major Government Department of the Commonwealth, our client promotes and protects the Commonwealth's international interests, security and prosperity.

About the role:
Due to a surge in requirements across the department due to further International Travel restrictions easing, the department are seeking skilled candidates who can provide assistance to help with their surge in demand.

There are multiple roles available for 6-month opportunities on a full-time roster, Monday to Friday in the following areas:
  • Creation of travel documents
  • Face to face customer service
  • In-bound call centre roles.

    Key responsibilities include:
  • Perform internal/external correspondence, client service, notarial duties, personalisation support, custodian, telephone enquiries, spoils and destruction, eligibility and supervisory duties for small to medium offices
  • Deliver courteous and professional client service when providing guidance to the public through various channels including phone, email or in person
  • Respond to notarial enquiries from members of the public, via phone, email or face to face
  • Identify, investigate and resolve moderately complex document eligibility related issues
  • Provide advice and support to other staff in relationg to issuing authentications, apostilles and certificate of no impediment in line with department guidelines and international legal requirements
  • Document processing including decision making and recommendations on the eligibility of applicants using information provided by relevant legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines
  • Other administrative duties as required relating to the delivery of documents

    About you:
    You will have similar experience under Australian rules and regulations, you will be fully vaccinated against COVID and can commit to a 12-month contract working full-time hours (38 hours per week) in the office. In addition to this, you will also have:
  • Experience in a high-pressure environment whereby you have the ability to perform high-speed and accurate data entry
  • Experience with document preparation, inclusive of scanning, personalisation, document/photo re-works etc.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and meet performance outputs and deliverables in line with the department frameworks
  • Ability to work as a part of a collaborative team to achieve daily goals
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, ability to confidently work autonomously
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with members of the public, key internal/external stakeholders via various channels such as in person, phone or email
  • Confident to step up to supervise and mentor staff members within the administration and processing team
  • Understanding of working within a demanding administrative heavy environment where a degree of flexibility is required to work effectively
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to produce high quality work
