Product (Network) Lead

This Energy business are looking to cover the role of Network Lead for a period of 6 months based in the CBD. The purpose of this role is to be a key contributor to the acceleration of the development of the company's aggregation product portfolio. This role will build on their existing product set, focusing on the development of customer facing supply side products. This will involve working closely with the Business Development team to understand customer challenges, and then develop the solutions to address them. Working within the product team to ensure the right mix of standardised and flexible products are in place to meet the market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading product development for commercial and residential end-customers products
  • Supporting the business to build partnerships with large multi-site energy consumers.
  • Contributing to proposals and responses, tenders and proposals related to large Solar and Battery and SAPS opportunities
  • Inputting into the design and development of an aggregation services platform including the development of commercial offerings supporting battery investments
  • Actively partner and integrate across the businesses portfolio to innovate and develop new offerings, in order to deliver integrated solutions - across customer, network and market
  • Developing the links between customer facing supply side product offerings and the demand side services and products that are to be delivered to network businesses and retailers
  • Contributing to new technology evaluations, particularly in the context of products under development
  • Engaging with different teams to communicate the development of solar and battery products and services
  • Working with the BD team to provide customers with an understanding of how their assets can be utilised to generate additional revenue streams.

    In order to apply for this role, you will have a degree in either Engineering or Economics. You will have considerable renewable energy experience. Previous involvement with Distributed Energy, Storage, VPP's or experience with a DNSP is highly regarded, Technical knowledge of electricity distribution and grid connections. You will have a strong understanding of wholesale and retail electricity market regulatory requirements and processes (AER, AEMC, AEMO, state governments) as well as the Distributed Energy Resources. Knowledge of electricity network regulation & pricing or retail energy market arrangements would be an advantage. Part of the role will involve presenting to clients so strong communication skills are essential for the right person.
