Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 Procurement Support Officer on a contract for 12 months with potential extension 12 Months.

About the Role:

The position is fast paced, varied and present opportunities to assist in ensuring the department's operations are underpinned by sound financial and Commonwealth procurement policies, processes and practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage inquiries and requests for information through the Procurement and Grants Policy team mailboxes and procurement hotline by coordinating the receipt, response and escalation of these inquiries and requests;
  • Provide timely basic procurement and grant policy advice and assistance to business areas;
  • Assist with AusTender and GrantConnect reporting functions, including sourcing of data relating to management reports, Senate Estimate briefs and other reporting; and
  • Assist with ad hoc project work to support process improvement measures and stakeholder management.

  • Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure including the ability to achieve outcomes, prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate Excel and IT skills
