Our client is an Australian Manufacturer supplying their products into the Construction, Energy & Industrial markets across the Asia Pacific. Their rich history, spanning over 50 years, have allowed a market leading position within their key market categories. The business has their Head Office in Melbourne's CBD and are seeking a Procurement Officer to join their growing & vibrant team.

Reporting to the Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Manager, this role will be responsible for:

  • Interacting with Commercial Operations to provide timely and accurate information on product availability, delivery time estimates, purchase order delivery dates, status updates, general inquiries and other related communications.
  • Reviewing weekly/daily requests to ensure timely order of backorders and replenishment of stock levels to fulfil requirements.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure that performance measures are met.
  • Working with S&OP manager to aid in planning and inventory control activities.
  • Continuously improving the quality and cost effectiveness of purchasing activities.


In order to be considered for this outstanding career opportunity, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Procurement, logistics, supply management within the Industrial sector.
  • SAP procurement/purchasing experience.
  • Knowledge of stock management and import shipping.
  • BA degree or Certificate qualification will be highly desirable.
