- Maintain effective relationships and communication with all stakeholders to ensure that corporate goals and priorities of the Mid North Coast Local Health District are met.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of business plans.
- Ability to make judgements and may in some cases, be delegated responsibility to approve changes in standards, practices, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to develop, monitor and reach predicted outcomes to strategic and business plans.
- Highly developed and effective negotiation and delegation skills.
- Work in a customer focused team approach with a wide spectrum of staff including the MNCLHD Senior Executive Team, Capital Works & Asset Management Teams, Senior Clinical staff both Medical and Nursing, Allied Health, Community Health, and corporate staff associated with procurement, with a view to managing day to day procurement activities across MNCLHD through advising, educating, monitoring, and supporting staff
What you’ll bring to the team.
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated Procurement Manager. You will provide support in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of both State and Local Contracts Management, to best meet the needs of stakeholders across MNCLHD, and participate in and/or support the negotiation of contracts with third party suppliers as well as.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or extensive relevant experience in a large and diverse service industry organisation, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities in managing commercial relationships and implementing supplier performance management frameworks, and reporting on related achievements and outcomes.
- Highly developed ability to negotiate and discuss procurement matters across all levels, including with, stakeholders and senior management teams in relation to contracts, commercial agreements, tenders, and other procurement processes, with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills including highly developed ability to consult, negotiate and delegate effectively with a diverse range of people
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities to ensure quality outcomes and timely delivery of services
- Highly developed and effective management and conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software programs (e.g., word processing, data management systems and spreadsheets)
- Current Drivers Licence and ability to travel as required
