Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Procurement Manager on a contract for 8 months with potential extension of 12 months.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Agency requires 2x APS6 (or equivalent) labour hire contractors to provide procurement and contract capability. Both engagements will:

  • Actively assist in the development and implementation of the Agency's procurement and contracting service;
  • Assess internal processes and initiate process improvement activities that will improve work systems and practices;
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external clients, service providers and other stakeholders;
  • Provide specialist procurement and contracting advice to all staff and senior management, with a particular focus on labour hire contractor procurement;
  • Prepare a range of material, including procurement documentation, contracts, work orders and other corporate documentation as required;
  • Undertake the review and evaluation of procurement and contracting services to improve service delivery; and
  • Adhere to the Agency Values, Code of Conduct and related policies.

Skills & Experience:

The successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in the delivery of procurement and contracting services in an APS environment;
  • Experience in APS panel procurement (including the use of relevant tools such as DS4P);
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment and meeting deadlines.
  • Disciplined project and process management skills
