Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Procurement and Contract Management Support Officer on a contract for 12 months with potential extension of 2*12 months.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Two years' experience working within Government Procurement
  • Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities
  • Ability to undertake analysis of suppliers, markets, products and service categories to inform procurement planning
  • Provide advice on 'best fit' security procurement approaches
  • Assist in the administration of tender evaluation reports for consideration and approval
  • Ability to assist in the oversight of contracts administration activities and monitoring of contract management plans
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual or within a team environment
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Adherence to APS Values and Code of Conduct as defined in the Public Service Act 1999, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Code of Conduct for Overseas Service, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Security Instructions & DFAT Environmental Policy and the applicable procedures set out in the Department's Environmental Management System
  • Formal Qualifications in Procurement and Contracting an advantage

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a NV1 security clearance.
