Chandler Macleod is working with a large mining company who currently have an employment opportunity for an experienced Process Operations Training Advisor, for a temporary 3 - 6 month position located in Boddington to start as soon as possible. This position is a DIDO position on 7/7 roster.

The purpose of this role is to support the Superintendent with training to ensure the safe and timely achievement of the companies performance targets by coordinating all Training requirements for staff.



Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Implement the Training Needs Analysis in conjunction with relevant Supervisors and Superintendent - Training;
  • Work collaboratively with the Crew Trainers and Crew Assessors to ensure level of current competency meets the requirements of the site objectives;
  • Complete moderation on current and future crew trainers and crew assessors to ensure level of competency meets the requirements of the site objectives;
  • Conduct required assessments all employees.
  • Conduct required facilitation for all employees.
  • Maintain currency of own competencies.
  • Ensure all training and assessment schedules are communicated in a timely manner to all those concerned.
  • Develop quarterly training and assessment plans that are practical and integrated into production requirements, personnel and machine availability.
  • Ensure the effective management and utilisation of the field trainers, resources and other training assets.
  • Participation in internal training audits when required.
  • Complete any data entry into the companies approved learning management system.
  • Complete any required business projects that are required to enable business improvements/efficiencies.
  • Review/develop training packages with the Superintendent - Training.
  • Assist the Superintendent - Training when required.
  • Reporting of any training issues to the Superintendent - Training, that arise during training or assessing activities that may impede or improve the running of the operations of responsibility.



    Skills required:
  • Minimum of 5 years resource industry experience including 2 years in a Process training role.
  • Cert III in Resource Processing (desired)
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (desired).
  • Certificate IV level in Training & Assessing or equivalent.
  • Experience in delivery of a diverse range of training programs such as site inductions, process circuit, isolation and work permitting systems.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication & presentation skills.
  • Computer skills in the Microsoft Office package.
  • Must be a well presented self starter, capable of working independently but closely aligned with team's goals and objectives
