Process and Governance Consultant

Our client is seeking to engage a Process and Governance Consultant on a temp, full-time basis for 6 months.

Position Purpose:
  • This position will focus on collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to understand, map, develop and implement changes that impact internal functional changes required to people and or systems and or processes to ensure any such changes are correctly embedded.
  • This position is responsible for providing advice to internal and business stakeholders to facilitate decision making regarding process and governance matters, and providing clear recommendations and business rational (including risk analysis) that supports the effective and efficient implementation of changes to process and or systems that have a direct impact on employees and the business.
  • This role will also be responsible for managing and supporting, in collaboration with the Team Leader, key functional activities including risk management, document and process management, data governance etc. and to identify where improvement to current or the introduction of new processes and/or systems is required to enable improved efficiencies.
Accountabilities:
  • To collaborate with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders to understand, map, develop and document business requirements that impact internal systems, processes, or people to ensure any such changes are correctly implemented and embedded
  • Reviews process / workflows and look for enhancements / engages with stakeholders to understand their needs and develops solutions in close collaboration with colleagues
  • Use knowledge of process modelling standards and guidelines, and process excellence methodologies, to ensure end to end processes are clearly mapped and optimised to mitigate process risks through the delivery of current state and future state requirements. Ensuring future state processes are optimised and focus on customer value-add.
  • Responsible for process improvement and all required change management planning in consultation with team members and business stakeholders to ensure smooth transition
  • Support Functional risk activities and update, as required, the Risk Register in collaboration with the Management Team
  • Document governance, control and “process ownership” on behalf of the Function for all document management and control activities
  • Maintain the document control register, ensuring an effective and efficient end to end control process is establish
Work Experience/Knowledge/Education:
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, IT, Business, SEQT or related discipline
  • An experienced professional with at least 5+ years’ sound and demonstrated experience in a business / process or governance type role
  • Sound knowledge of business process analysis and mapping systems with sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and autonomously
  • Interaction with others is primarily concerned with influencing, developing, and motivating people and changing behaviour to deliver the right outcomes
  • Demonstrated expertise in being able to understand complex challenges and mapping solutions
  • Excellent organisational, time management and task prioritisation skills
  • Prior experience in building and or implementing effective governance models
  • Project management and or Change Management skills
  • Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’
