Chandler Macleod are partnering with Opal at Botany to resource a Pile Turner Print Assistant. Opal Cartons is a major supplier of high-volume custom printed folding cartons to major brands across Australia and New Zealand. Working with each of our customers to develop unique, innovative folding carton packaging solutions. 

This is a permanent position based at our Botany plant in Sydney.

Key responsibilities include:
 
  • Book material into SAP and maintain appropriate stock levels 
  • Maintain operating schedules and meets targets at stated quality and maximum efficiency for the production machines
  • Co-operate with the Production Manager, Shift Supervisors, Team Leaders and Printers to ensure optimum production performance in accordance with requirements.
  • Support print crews to run machines through meal breaks
  • Segregates and removes all waste bins and pallets.
  • Pile-turner printed laminator pallets 
  • Support Print assistant that chemical drums are filled, returned to press and ensure are in safe working order.
  • Follow work practices and procedures and ensure production output is achieved within commercial parameters to maximise output, minimise waste and conform to the quality requirements set by the customer and OPAL Cartons.
  • Assist in problem solving or investigation of any faulty work
Holding a forklift licence will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will be available to work an 8-12 hour shift on a rotating roster.
