About the role:

This is a newly created position and forms part of the remit’s strategic plan to provide critical advice and deliver services across security and safety systems, lifecycle and asset management, property services, fleet services and major infrastructure development.  A unique opportunity, working alongside the manager, you will be able to use your creative skills in technology and have significant input and influence on electronic security planning, design installation, development and maintenance across a large network security system.
  • Manage complex electronic security systems
  • Provide high-level technical advice on electronic system designs and issues, faults and defects
  • Provide significant input into management of electronic system assets to maximise operational effectiveness
  • Undertake major research and prepare and/or supervise the preparation of associated reports and submissions
  • Review, interpret and comment on technical drawings, schematics, specifications, training outlines, and disaster recovery plans
  • Work in a fast paced highly reactive environment that communicates with, and reports to multiple internal and external stakeholders

Key selection criteria:
  • Demonstrated experience in management of large complex network security systems
  • Commissioning of large-scale enterprise level integrated security management systems
  • Confident interacting with internal and external senior and executive stakeholders
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with superior leadership skills, communication skills; negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested

Beneficial:
  • A Degree or Diploma level qualification in Electronics Engineering or a trade qualification in a similar industry (Highly regarded but not compulsory)
  • Highly Integrated/Automated Enterprise level Security Systems with bespoke/custom GUI experience
