Looking for multiple Poultry Farm Hands & Trainee Stock Hands to assist at Poultry Farms located within the Far Northern Adelaide Farm Region

About the Role:
Our client is a privately owned Australian Company that provides premium quality Poultry products throughout Australia. Currently we are looking for multiple Poultry Farm Hands & Trainee Stock Hands for work located within the Northern Adelaide Farm Region for ongoing casual assignment.
Successful applicants will:

  • Be able and willing to drive to Far Northern Farm Region From Meldrum (Rhynie) to Robertstown (approx. 120kms North of Adelaide)
  • Have a reliable car and drivers licence
  • NOT have regular contact with any Birds, Chickens or Pigs due to quarantine restrictions
  • Be willing to work with and around live Chickens and Roosters
  • Be able to safety complete all tasks includes lots of walking and heavy lifting
  • Be available and reliable

    Successful applicants will be completing general farm hand tasks, including working with Roosters and Chickens. Labour tasks include general cleaning, floor walking, catching chickens, dismantling of slats & building or slats & perches, stripping chicken sheds, shoveling manure and waste removal and disposal.
    Starting times will vary from between 0600-1030am, generally working 5 shifts a week normally 4 on & 2 off, including weekends.
    You will need to be able to lift up to 20kgs, walk up to 13kms a day, must be reliable and available to start immediately
    There is the opportunity for ongoing assignments with this client across their farms for those who are willing to travel, have demonstrated reliability and have a high work and safety ethic.

    You could be eligible for up to $6,000 by taking up work in agriculture. This financial assistance is to help with the costs of travel and accommodation when you relocate to take up short-term agricultural work. This Federal Government 'Relocation Assistance' is available from 1 November 2020 to 31 December 2021
