About the role
We are partnering with a renowned global EPC organisation, delivering project expertise to upstream, midstream, chemicals, power, mining and minerals sectors. We seek a broadly experienced Permits & Isolation Supervisor working specifically for one of their key minerals clients in WA. This assignment will cover a period of 12 months on a 2:1 FIFO roster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Design & prepare complex Boundary Isolations plans to allow Construction activities to continue safely as Commissioning ramps up
  • Design and execute Isolation Permits and Simple Isolations for both Construction and Commissioning activities in the Process Plant
  • Assist the commissioning team with the preparation of drawing mark-ups and verification inspections for issuing Notices of Energisation.
  • Execution of first time energisation plans for all disciplines and removal of Boundary Isolations.
  • Preparation and verification of High Voltage switching for first time energisation and isolations for access, testing and general work on High Voltage equipment.
  • Supervision of clients Permit team during Commissioning up to Final Handover.
  • Maintain LOTO equipment and registers on a day to day basis.
  • Attend Authority to Work and daily meetings when the Permit Superintendent is absent from site.
  • Mentor the clients Permit team leading up to Final Handover of the Process Plant.

    To be successful in this role, you will require the following work experience:
  • 3-5 Years' experience in a Commissioning Team as an Isolation Officer or Permit Coordinator type role
  • Experience with Iron Ore processing or similar ( Mineral Processing - Gold, Lithium etc)
  • West Australian Electrical licence (essential)
  • High Voltage Switching ticket (essential)
  • Competency with the use of Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, Navisworks and Adobe Pro (essential)
    Ideal candidates must also hold the following prerequisites:
  • Provide a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one
  • Provide a current Drivers Licence
