About the role:
The Permissioning Officer role is a position is responsible for delivering improvements, managing projects, processes, procedures and business system updates.
Working within the Strategy division, some responsibilities include:

  • Actively contribute and seek out opportunities to the development of a positive and high performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork, practices, policies and procedures.
  • Support the issue of development licences, operating licences, and pilot project licences; issue permits; issue designations; support the assessment and determination of complex emergency discharge applications; and appoint accredited consignors.
  • Support and deliver improvements to the function and integration of business systems that support the efficient and effective delivery of the permissioning function.
  • Undertake administrative processes and other tasks as directed for the effective achievement of regulatory outcomes\



About you:
Ideally you will have relevant education and experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations, as well as:

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating small projects and working with a small team of internal stakeholders (not direct reports)
  • Strong systems knowledge across MS Office and basic SharePoint skills for document management
  • Experience in developing or updating documentation and templates (supported by technical experts and clear instructions) e.g. guidance, procedures, etc
  • Ability to initiatiate, ask questions and proactively find answers when encountering challenges
  • strong written communications skills and ability to adjust writing to be suitable for the audience
