Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 People Strategy HR Officer on a contract for 5 months.

Position Overview

The People Strategy HR Officer role is required to undertake generally straightforward tasks that support People Strategy.

The People Strategy HR Officer role will apply standard procedures to meet stakeholder requirements, aid to solve problems and seek assistance as appropriate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the section's mailbox and respond to stakeholder enquiries
  • Supporting the delivery of the agency's capability programs
  • Providing administrative support in the areas of recruitment, capability and developing and
  • workforce planning
  • Monitoring and tracking the section's work plan
  • Undertaking role design to support recruitment activities and workforce planning
  • General system support for the agency's learning management system (LMS), Learnhub

Skills & Experience:

  • Promote and manage relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, and service providers
  • Manage, support, coordinate, implement and/or review a function, program, project, or initiative and drive continuous improvement and change
  • Provide expert advice and support on programs, policy, legislation, systems and/or processes
  • Research, analyse and develop a range of complex documents and develop, review, evaluate and implement policies, procedures, processes, and tools
  • Manage, monitor, review, and evaluate individual performance and contribution to team performance
  • Provide self-leadership including development, seeking coaching and mentoring and building commitment to shared goals
  • Lead in implementing change and promoting continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate collaboration, participation and contribution to the group and organisational objectives
  • Model and promote a healthy and safe working environment, modelling and promoting ethical behaviour and practise consistent with APS code of conduct and APS values
  • Support the coordination, design, communication, and delivery of a programs for professional development qualifications pathways for staff
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, information and projects through undertaking research, analysis of results and presenting considered options and solutions
