Job Title: People Business Partner

Pay Bracket: $100,000 - $140,000 TRP
Benefits: Fulltime ongoing position with full leave entitlements plus free travel with access to a Myki card
(Will consider part time for the right candidate)
Location: Melbourne

A great opportunity has arisen for a People Business Partner to join a government organisation based in Melbourne CBD. This is a true generalist role where you will work as part of a wider HR team to focus on the following areas:

  • Partner with managers to develop appropriate people strategies and initiatives to maximise the effectiveness of their people to achieve business outcomes
  • Supporting the management of employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
  • Providing expert advice on all people matters including capability and performance management whilst adapting your communication style when supporting both employees and key stakeholders
  • Support the implementation and continual development of HR systems, leadership development, workforce planning/analytics and policies
  • Provide support in the regional locations of the client function to provide service at the local level
Who would be the right fit?

The successful candidate for this role will have extensive experience working in HR, ideally working at Business Partner level. Strong communication skills are essential for this role to influence and negotiate effectively, working with the front-line employees as well as providing guidance to key stakeholders. A high attention to detail is required as you will be working under pressure to meet deadlines. Candidates with industrial experience will be highly regarded. Ideally you will have relevant education and experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations.
