An exciting opportunity now exists with one of our Local Government clients for an experienced and dynamic People and Culture Officer based in the beautiful Clarence Valley.

Why the team needs you:
  • Through effective relationship management and close partnership with the organisation's business units, this position is responsible for providing expert human resources advice and assistance to the organisation.
  • Develop engaging and contemporary strategic policies and programs for the provision of effective 'employee journey' processes relating to: attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, training, retention and separation.
  • Support the employer/employee relationship by developing and maintaining strong and positive personal relationships with Managers, Coordinators and Supervisors to ensure effective management of staff.
  • Develop, implement, review and update administrative systems and processes to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
What you'll bring to the team:

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly resilient and adaptable part of the team. It is essential that you are collaborative and possess exceptional communication skills which enables you to effectively share information and discuss contemporary HR best practices, innovations, and processes. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, related discipline or equivalent relevant industry and a current drivers licence is essential to ensure your success in this role.
