We have teamed up with a large corporation in the Utilities industry who are looking for a Payroll Officer to assist their team for a three month contract.
You will be systems savvy with 2+ years of experience using Chris 21. You will also hold a high attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and exceptional communication skills.
This role would suit someone that has high volume payroll experience and is looking for a challenging and rewarding short term role!

Key Responsibilities:

  • The accurate and timely preparation entry and transmission of fortnightly payroll data and associated material.
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of Awards, Industrial Agreements and statutory/legislative requirements.
  • Providing accurate information to management and staff in a timely manner.
  • Taking care of own and colleagues Health and Safety through identification and reporting of hazards and active involvement in improvement initiatives.
  • The preparation and processing of fortnightly payroll calculations and timesheets as required for new starters, leave, salary changes, pay adjustments, performance payments, promotions, transfers and terminations using Chris21
  • Assist with research into HR/Payroll issues, especially those relating to data integrity resolutions.
  • Work Collaboratively with Talent Acquisition and HR Portfolio Teams to ensure consistent and seamless efficient lifecycle to support all employees.
  • Adhoc HR and Payroll matters.
  • Participate and contribute to Payroll team meetings.

  • Kronos experience preferred but not essential
  • Basic level skills in payroll processing, preparation and data entry.
  • Basic level knowledge of Australian payroll legislation i.e. NES, taxation and superannuation.
  • Competent skills in working with relevant software packages, including Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook, and large payroll system packages
  • 2+ years experience with Chris 21
  • Demonstrated Time management and attention to detail within a payroll environment
