Our client is an international organisation with a well-established, commercial brand in Australia and head office located in Brisbane. They are seeking a talented payroll professional to join their busy team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This client is considered an employer of choice with a very low staff turnover which is attributed to the fantastic culture of support and development provided.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join an experienced finance team in a corporate, head office environment.

The primary responsibilities of this role are:

  • Familiarity with Australia Payroll legislation
  • Processing of end-to-end payroll for Australia
  • Assisting with the payroll month-end processes for Australia
  • Building strong internal relationships and responding to staff queries via email and phone
  • Ensuring all payroll requests from staff are approved with the required supporting documentation

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Have a good understanding of general payroll practices and relevant legislation, (eg. PAYG, LSL, termination finalisation, leave and other entitlements)
  • Demonstrated experience performing end-to-end payroll
  • Some exposure to SAP or another large ERP system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
