An exciting opportunity now exists for a self-driven and experienced payroll professional for a six month contract within a government organisation based in Lismore.

As the Payroll Officer you will be the primary point of customer service to employees across the business in the delivery of a quality, timely and accurate payroll service, along with reporting and compliance with statutory requirements. This includes the processing of weekly payroll using Pay Global system.

Working within this fast-paced environment, you will ideally possess the following:

  • Experience in Pay Global preferred with the understanding of payroll conventions, calculations and determinations, payroll best practices and legislative compliance.
  • A systems mindset - with the ability to adapt to new or unfamiliar systems and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with highly developed numerical capability
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel

Key to your success will be your natural ability to foster relationships, exercise initiative and demonstrated experience in a similar role. You will have the ability to engage across multiple stakeholders, with outstanding communication and a respect for confidentiality. It is essential that you are a natural problem solver, highly organised and collaborative, with an adaptable work style.
