Primary responsibilities of this role are:
- Process, monitor and maintain employee data in the payroll systems in accordance with standard business processes and relevant industrial legislation, agreements, and awards
- Accurately perform a range of payroll functions in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure accuracy of payroll data as part of the timesheet import processes through Kronos, Chris21 and HR21
- Analyse, investigate and resolve payroll processing problems, providing guidance and advice to employees and line managers
- Timely, accurate and efficient processing of forms and requests in an efficient manner; identifying errors, implementing corrective actions, and providing advice
- Compliance reporting of payroll and superannuation data in line with legislation requirements
- Maintain knowledge of all relevant awards, certified agreements, legislation, and regulations relating to payroll and Queensland Local Government
To be considered for this opportunity you will have:
- Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or equivalent competency
- Advanced working knowledge and understanding of Payroll systems CHRIS21, HR21 and KRONOS and administrative business systems.
- Ability to access and interpret relevant industrial awards and agreements applicable to payroll
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Current Queensland “C” Class Drivers Licence
Benefits:
