Payroll Administrator Officer

An opportunity exists for an experienced Payroll Admin Officer to join Chandler Macleod for a full-time permanent hybrid role. Immediate start is available, office based in Mulgrave. Chandler Macleod prides itself in our flexible work culture, and friendly team. 


Position Summary
  • The Shared Services division incorporates Client Set Up, Invoicing, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Collections, and is one of the most critical functions of the company although often the least publicised. The people and services provided by this group are quiet achievers who deliver important financial services which significantly impact the overall performance of the company. Good people, processes and structure is the key to the success of our Shared Services team.
  • The payroll team relies on the ability to build internal relationships with our branches, as well as other teams within Shared Services, to process timely and accurate pays by ensuring the systems are maintained to meet both legislative and client requirements. You will be part of an innovative group, proud to produce detailed and accurate documents and learn about our growing company. 
  • The Superannuation/Systems Administrator Officer will support the timely and accurate administration of Casual and Temp superannuation management and reporting. EFT lodgements and reporting in line with payroll processing and extra-ordinary payment. In addition, the timely and accurate reporting and management of the Portable Long Service Leave (PLSL). Additional responsibilities of this role include the co-ordination, and timely delivery of customer focused services with respect to the Superannuation, PLSL. Also, system administration management and reporting for internal stakeholders, whilst providing value adding payroll information and services to branches and management.
 
Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Extensive experience working in a payroll processing group
  • Knowledge invoicing process generated from a payroll system
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Strong knowledge of superannuation legislation
  • Knowledge of standard Microsoft Office products
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a team but also able to work stand alone
