Academic Support Workers Needed 
  • Rewarding role supporting special needs students - students with disabilities to complete their studies.

  • Hourly rates from $30-35 per hour + super 
We are looking for Academic Support workers to support students at a TAFE training institute with campuses in Bendigo.
 
THE ROLE:  
You will be supporting students with learning and physical disabilities and assisting them with their studies.  The role involves note taking and tutoring and participation assistance. Will involve assisting a student short term or for their whole course, hours are varied. The courses being undertaken vary and may include Visual Arts, Community Services, Animal Studies. Also working with students doing Apprenticeships in Electrical, Plumbing, Auto and Engineering.
 
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:  
To be successful for this role you will need to be competent in verbal and written communication skills.  It is essential that you are passionate and extremely reliable with excellent time management skills.  It is necessary to have at least 2 years’ experience at either University or TAFE level it is preferred that you have some experience within the disability sector, Teaching or trade sector and unrestricted working rights.   
This role is ideal for people who are currently studying, former teachers, return to work parents, a background in disability.
