Our client is a large federal government agency focused on providing high quality mental health assessment and clinical counselling services. They take pride on meeting client needs through a combination of proven clinical practices and new and emerging evidence-based approaches. Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will work with a professional team who are all dedicated to making a different in the lives of their clients.

Primary responsibilities of this role are:

  • Collaboratively manage and coordinate the regions Outreach Program through liaison and negotiation with internal management team
  • Facilitation of the delivery of high-quality clinical outreach services for eligible clients in rural and outer metropolitan areas
  • Ensuring staff with outreach area coordination and/or administrative responsibilities are informed of national and region policy and procedure updates
  • Direct provision of high-quality clinical services including initial intake, assessment and referral, evidence-based counselling, case management and case coordination as required
  • Participation in community development, service promotion activities and ongoing learning and development activities
  • Liaising and forming partnerships with other departments and organisations and community health and welfare agencies

To be considered for this opportunity you will have:

  • Qualifications must be that of a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, or Nurse with mental health experience.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance must be obtained prior to commencing in the position
  • Experience in a similar clinical role
  • A passion for clinical psychology and social work to support mental health initiatives
