Outage Leader

About the Role

We are currently seeking 4 Outage Leaders across critical areas of our business in preparation for upcoming outage and capital works projects at our Loy Yang Asset.

While ultimately being responsible for the effective execution of planned outage works focusing on the four key deliverables of safety, quality, schedule and cost, this role will also work in close collaboration with our Engineering, Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure all works are delivered in accordance with the AGL Loy Yang Outage Management Framework.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Take ownership of the planning and execution of outage works within area of responsibility

Manage an Outage team of internal and external resources in the detailed planning and safe and timely delivery of planned outages

Apply all aspects of the Outage management Framework that are deemed relevant to role or assigned works package

Ensure contract conditions are met and managed throughout the life cycle

Understand and assist with the budgeting, planning and the delivery of assigned major capital works

Ensure all activities comply with relevant engineering and technical standards, and reporting systems for the control of projects

Take full ownership for quality deliverables through life of outage/project

Model and promote behaviours that support a clear undertaking for safety, continuous improvement activities and projects

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

Demonstrated ability to lead (engage, motivate and shape) a team in delivering successful projects, using strong communication and organisational skills to balance conflicting priorities and manage resources

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline or significant relevant experience from a trade background in a Power Station environment

Experience in project management in large scale plant operations, with tertiary qualifications in project management highly regarded

Understanding of financial and risk management principles

Experience in leading and management of internal and external resources for minor and major works
