Chandler Macleod are currently seeking an Operations and Maintenance Field Coordinator for a position with our client based in Henderson.

Our client are a marine company specialising in the maintenance and assembly of equipment across the marine/oil and gas industries.

This position will entail supervision of work practices, ensuring that all staff are complying with regulations and meeting safety requirements.

The hourly rate for this position is $30 per hour, and this role is currently sent to have 3 working days per week.

Further responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Inspecting current maintenance activities and recommending improvements/changes, and assigning tasks to relevant contractor(s)
  • Inspecting, monitoring and recording assigned work areas, and recording a log of all inspections as well as reporting any faults requiring repairs
  • Ensuring invoicing data is collected and accurate
  • Positioning of operational equipment (moveable fences, signage, gangways)
  • Basic handyman maintenance on buildings and other structures
  • Installing/replacing asset labels
  • Ensuring new equipment meets operational requirements
  • Completing random field checks for passes
  • Attending any urgent breakdowns or emergencies on call 24/7
  • Use of the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) process
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and contributing to meetings as required

    To be considered for this role, you must have the below:
  • At least 2 years' experience as a supervisor or leading hand in the construction/heavy industry
  • Electrical, fitting, plumbing or HVAC experience
  • General handyman experience
  • Working at Heights ticket
  • Confined Space ticket
  • White Card
  • Drivers License
  • Completion of Year 12 certificate

    It is highly regarded/desirable to possess the following:
  • Trade Certificate
  • Experience in operations/maintenance in a marine environment
  • Forklift License
  • Great written and oral communication skills and time management skills
